Collections of paintings, engravings, miniatures, sculptures, furniture, ceramics, glassware, silverware, are presented in the sequence of paneled rooms of the Hotel de Lalande, built in 1779 "between court and garden" by architect Etienne Bordeaux Laclotte for the parliamentary Pierre Raymond de Lalande. They are a rich example of French decorative arts, including Bordeaux, the 18th and 19th centuries and the history of Bordeaux in the 18th.
